Tony Ford's scheduled December 7, 2005 execution was first delayed until March 14, 2006, and it has since been delayed indefinitely so that DNA testing of evidence can be conducted that may be able to conclusively prove his innocence of a 1991 murder. He has unwaveringly asserted his innocence, and there is significant evidence that his identity was mistaken for that of the actual murderer.
